“I’m not good enough.”

“If they knew what I’ve done, what kind of person I am, they wouldn’t accept me.”

“I’ve messed up too many times.”

“I can’t do it, I just don’t have that much strength/talent.”

“Nobody gets it, I’m alone.”

These are all thoughts we find in our hearts. They seem so true, and they hold us back from so much. Really, they’re so believable because at one time, they were true. When we had not accepted Christ’s ransom for our lives, when we were controlled by our worldly selves, we really weren’t worthy, good enough, and we were alone.

Newsflash!! That’s not where it ends!! You’re only defined and confined by those words if you have not accepted and embraced Christ’s work in your life. As soon as you let God in, let Him work in you and through you, those words become lies. And lies are from the realm of darkness which was defeated on the cross. You are never alone, you have been made worthy, you have the strength of God supporting you.

2 Corinthians 5:14-17

“Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

Isaiah 12:1-2

“In that day you will sing: ‘I will praise you, O Lord! You were angry with me, but not any more. Now you comfort me. See, God has come to save me. I will trust in Him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; He has given me victory.'”
